The Chicago Six:

Christina Cieslewicz is in her first year in the archives track at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the School of Library and Information Studies and work in the archives division of the Wisconsin Historical Society. She returned to school after working in newspapers as a reporter and editor in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Wisconsin. Her bachelor’s is in English literature and art history from Washington University in St. Louis. She has blogged for classes and in her private life and read them daily. Christina’s other activities include: photography, cooking, and pulling weeds (otherwise known as gardening or growing food for the rabbits).

Jeremy Feador is currently finishing up his master’s degree in history with a specialization in public history at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. For the last year and a half he has been working as a graduate assistant in the WSU Special Collections and Archives. While at WSU, he has processed collections, assisted in acquisitions, and created exhibits. Public history has been a great way for him to combine his passion for history with a museum and archive education. Jeremy will be presenting at the student poster session, so come over and say hello.

Kevlin Haire has been on the staff of The Ohio State University Archives since September 2006. Before that, she served as a regional archivist for two years for the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. In 2003, she received a master’s degree in library science from Kent State University. Though she worked as a reporter and editor for many years before going to library school, blogging is a new challenge for her. She’s pretty excited about the opportunity, though.

Sloan Komissarov is a masters student in the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Library and Information Studies. She anticipates completing her degree this May with a focus in archives and records management. In addition to her coursework, Sloan also works as the project assistant at the UW-Madison Special Collections where she enjoys using her art history and foreign language background in her various processing projects. Sloan is excited to be taking an active role in this year’s MAC blog. This year’s Chicago MAC meeting is the first time Sloan has attended a MAC conference.

Angelique Richardson works as The Winthrop Group’s Project Archivist at the Kraft Foods Corporate Archives.  She holds an MSI in Archives and Records Management from the University of Michigan’s School of Information (‘09) and a BA in International Business and German from Bradley University (‘07).  Before joining Winthrop she undertook internships at Entertainment Weekly Magazine and at the Coca-Cola Company Archives.  Angelique is a member of the Society of American Archivists (SAA) and the Midwest Archives Conference (MAC).  She is also a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts of the USA.

In her free time, Angelique enjoys bowling, reading, watching movies and television, traveling, and sharing random bits of knowledge or news with her friends.  She has not blogged before, so she is learning as she goes along.  Angelique looks forward to providing MAC members (and anyone else who is interested) with insights into Chicago’s 2010 Meeting.

Lance Stuchell currently serves as the Digital Preservation Projects Coordinator at ICPSR, a digital archive of social science research data. Lance received his bachelors in history from Northwestern University and his MSI from the University of Michigan (go Big Ten). He is editor and a regular contributor at NewArchivist, a blog focused on new archival professionals. This will be Lance’s first MAC conference, and he can’t wait to get to Chicago and start blogging about his experiences!
